In retrospect, it should have been obvious that Tiger Woods had much more on his mind on the golf course. Look at that gaze. We suspect he isn’t thinking about what par this hole is — or that he even cares that this woman has a rather unusual putting technique.

It would be awesome if the official “Field of Dreams” baseball field had ballplayers dressed as the disgraced 1919 Chicago White Sox, whom tourists could either gamble with or play Whiffleball with.

But you and your imagination are on your own when you tread on the holy soil where Kevin Costner once walked.

Hats off to the Cole family, who pretended to cheer on Shoeless Joe Jackson from these modest bleachers, followed by a dramatic fading into the cornfields.

At the risk of getting too philosophical for a goofy web site…. If baseball fans “do the wave,” and nobody is there to actually see it, did they ever really do the wave?
